Psychological stress can affect every person in a different manner.

Play the nothing is wrong game. This is also called positive thinking. It's a basic idea is that you acknowledge that you are feeling bad about something and then go on to try to think about good things. This can be hard when you first start trying to do it. Start with the basics like "I'm glad I'm alive" and "I'm glad that I have good food to eat" and then go from there. It does not matter which things you think about while you are thinking in a positive manner. What matters is that you start thinking about things in a positive way. It can be something as minor as you like the new color of your sheets.
Start researching. A lot of the time, the cause of our stress is not having enough information about a situation. What happens then is that the imagination takes over and starts inventing situations and scenarios. If you have a good imagination that functions in this manner, then you will do some serious damage to your stress level. What makes it better is getting information. Get your questions answered. Read books for information, if they are available. The more facts you have, the less active your imagination will be for filling in the blanks, which will reduce your stress.
Take a long hot bath. Try some aromatherapy while you're in there. Your emotions can be manipulated with certain scents that you smell. A hot bath will slowly relax your muscles and your body while you become more relaxed. Stay in the tub until you need to come out. People need to feel as if they ought to come out opposed to setting a certain time limit for their bath. Your stress may cause you to be unable to sleep so a bath in the evening can definitely help. You will also notice that if you get enough sleep your stress level will go right down.
Learning to deal with psychological stress takes time. Stress is a complex condition. It comes along due to many different reasons and in varied forms. Finally being able to determine that it is psychological stress is one of the first ways to finally handle it and toss it from your life. Remember: it is okay to need help to get through your stress.
